Cynhadledd yr Esgobaeth 2020: Sesiwn ar y cyd

yn ymgynnull ar Zoom

2020 Diocesan Conference: Plenary session

gathering on Zoom

11/11/2020, 2 p.m. - 11/11/2020, 2:45 p.m.

English

Roedd disgwyl i ni ymgynnull fel esgobaeth ym Mhrifysgol Bangor ar y dydd Sadwrn cyntaf ym mis Hydref ar gyfer Cynhadledd yr Esgobaeth. Byddai wedi bod yn gyfle i ddathlu ein bywyd ar y cyd, ac, eleni, i fyfyrio ar ganmlwyddiant sefydlu'r Eglwys yng Nghymru ar ei ffurf bresennol.

Fel â llawer arall eleni, bu'n rhaid i gynlluniau newid.

Mae'n amlwg nad yw'n bosibl i ni ymgynnull yn gorfforol ar y cyd. Yn ffodus, mae Corff Llywodraethol yr Eglwys yng Nghymru bellach wedi caniatáu i gyfarfodydd cyfansoddiadol gael eu cynnal ar-lein.

Rydym wedi myfyrio ar y ffordd orau i gynnal Cynhadledd yr Esgobaeth ar-lein, gan flaenoriaethu hygyrchedd a chyfranogiad, i alluogi profiad buddiol i bawb sy'n rhoi o'u hamser.

Ar ôl myfyrio, rydym wedi penderfynu cynnig sesiynau archddiaconol fel prif gydran ffordd wahanol o gwrdd fel Cynhadledd yr Esgobaeth.
  • Felly bydd pedair sesiwn i Gynhadledd yr Esgobaeth ar Zoom eleni.
  • Bydd un sesiwn 90 munud ym mhob un o'r archddiaconiaethau, a sesiwn ar y cyd fyrrachwedi hynny i'r holl aelodau.
  • Prif gydran y sesiynau archddiaconol fydd sesiwn holi gyda'r Esgob.
  • Yn y sesiwn ar y cyd, byddwn yn ymgymryd â'r busnes ffurfiol sy'n ofynnol yn y Gynhadledd.

Er mwyn mynychu, bydd angen i unigolion gofrestru.

Mae aelodaeth ffurfiol y Gynhadledd yn cynnwys tri chynrychiolydd lleyg o bob Ardal Weinidogaeth, hyd at dri gweinidog lleyg trwyddedig o bob Ardal Weinidogaeth, a'r cyfan o'r clerigion trwyddedig. Fodd bynnag, mae croeso cynnes i unrhyw un sy'n cymuno yn yr esgobaeth fynychu'r sesiynau.

We were due to gather as a diocese at Bangor University on the first Saturday in October for our Diocesan Conference. It would have been an opportunity to celebrate our common life, and, this year, to reflect on a centenary of the formation of the Church in Wales in its present form.

As with much else this year, plans have had to change.

It is clearly not possible for us to gather in person. Fortunately, the Governing Body of the Church in Wales has now permitted constitutional meetings to take place online.

We have reflected on how best to run an online Diocesan Conference, prioritising accessibility and participation, to enable a good experience for all who give of their time.

Having reflected, we have decided to offer archidiaconal sessions as the major component of a different way of meeting as a Diocesan Conference.
  • There will therefore be four Diocesan Conference sessions on Zoom this year.
  • At the plenary session, we will undertake the formal business required of the Conference.
  • The main component of the archdeaconry sessions will be a question time session with the Bishop.
  • There will be one 90 minute session in each of the archdeaconries, and a final, shorter plenary session for all members.

In order to attend, individuals will need to sign up.

The formal membership of the Conference includes three lay representatives from each Ministry Area, up to three licensed lay ministers from each Ministry Area, and all licensed clerics. However, there is a warm welcome for any communicant member of the diocese to attend the sessions.
