Dominic McClean

Dominic works to advance our diocesan priorities of nurturing discipleship and growing new ministries. He supports the formation of Commissioned Ministry Teams, and walks alongside those exploring a vocation to lay licensed ministries and ordained ministries. Dominic is also responsible for the learning and development of our curates, and represents the diocese on the Council of the St Padarn’s Institute, the Church in Wales’s theological and ministerial education team. Dominic is also the Chaplain of the diocese’s LGBTI+ Chaplaincy, and is an experienced Spiritual Director.

Before ordination to the priesthood in the Diocese of Leicester, Dominic worked as a Chief Executive of charities working the homeless and victims of crime, and as a deacon in inner city Leicester, London and Glasgow. Immediately prior to his move to Bangor, he was the Parish Priest of St Catherine, Burbage and the Benefice of Market Bosworth.
