A gaf i achub ar y cyfle hwn i ddiolch i bawb ym mhob cwr o'r esgobaeth sy'n gweithio mor galed i ganiatáu inni ddathlu'r Pasg eleni ar ffyrdd ffyddlon a chreadigol. Gwerthfawrogir eich gofal a'ch ymrwymiad i'ch gweinidogaeth yn fawr.

Mae ffydd wrth galon Cristnogaeth.
Dyma'r ffordd rydyn ni'n ymateb yn gadarnhaol i Dduw yng Nghrist.
Er bod i ffydd ei chynnwys gadarn, mae iddi hefyd elfen ddeinamig sy'n caniatáu inni lywio'r dyfodol gyda gobaith.
O'r wythnos hon, bydd pob Llythyr yr Esgob wythnosol yn dechrau gyda galwad i weddïo dros Ardal Weinidogaeth benodol neu weithgaredd yn yr esgobaeth. Fy ngobaith yw y bydd y gweddïau hyn hefyd yn rhan o ymbiliau ledled eglwysi'r esgobaeth y Sul canlynol. Rwy'n ddiolchgar i gydweithwyr o bob cwr o'r esgobaeth am ddarparu cynnwys ar gyfer y gweddïau hyn.

Byddaf yn defnyddio Llythyr yr Esgob yn ystod yr wythnosau ar ôl gwasanaethau Gŵyl Bedr i rannu straeon y rhai sydd newydd eu trwyddedu a'u hordeinio – gan obeithio, trwy ein gweddïau a'u hesiampl, y bydd eraill yn cael eu hysbrydoli i glywed galwad Duw ac chamu mlaen.

"The cross of Jesus casts a long shadow throughout our liturgical seasons.
This Sunday, early in Lent, we read in St John’s Gospel about how Jesus spoke of his death and resurrection."
"Tomorrow is Passion Sunday and our reading from the Gospel of St John once more brings into focus the events which will take place in Jerusalem.
Behind the trauma of a crucified man, we are invited to peer into the mystery of God’s love."

"It has been a difficult year for so many of us, and anxiety, insecurity and grief still surround us. But it is to Easter’s new life that we are ultimately called.
May I take this opportunity to thank all across the diocese who are working so hard to allow us to celebrate Easter this year on faithful and creative ways. Your care and commitment to your ministry is greatly appreciated.
And may I wish us all a peaceful, joyful Easter celebration tomorrow."

Faith is at the heart of Christianity.
It’s the way we respond positively to God in Jesus Christ.
Although faith has content, it is also a dynamic thing which allows us to navigate the future with hope.
From this week, each weekly Bishop’s Letter will begin with a call to prayer for a particular Ministry Area or activity within the diocese. My hope is that these prayers will also form part of intercessions across the diocese the following Sunday. I am grateful to colleagues across the diocese for providing content for these prayers.

I will be using the Bishop’s Letter in the weeks after the Petertide services to share the stories of those who have been newly licensed and ordained - and I hope that, through our prayers and their example, others will be inspired to hear God’s call and to step forward.
