agor ein calonnau a'n meddyliau
i ddarganfod stori'r Geni;
gad i ni fod yn effro
ac yn wyliadwrus o'th presenoldeb
drwy'r croeso a'r gweinidogaethau a gynigiwn,
ar adegau o weddi a myfyrdod tawel,
ac yn ein gobaith o'r hyn sydd eto i ddod.
Yn y dyddiau Adfent hyn wrth i ni ddisgwyl
am yr Un sydd i ddod, Goleuni'r Byd,
ysbrydola ni o'r newydd fel y gallwn fod yn barod
i gyfarfod â llygaid newydd
a gwrando gyda chlustiau wedi'u hadnewyddu
i stori geni Iesu, Emaniwel.
Boed i ni ddefnyddio'r amser hwn
i fyw ein ffydd:
i'th addoli â chariad yn ein calonnau,
i garu'r byd mewn gair a gweithred,
ac i dyfu dy Eglwys mewn dirnadaeth barhaus.

Wrth i'r Nadolig nesáu, mae'r esgobion yn ymwybodol iawn mai arfer a dysg Anglicanaidd yw "nad yw cwpan yr Arglwydd i'w wrthod i bobl lleyg" (Erthygl XXX). Felly, rydym yn adolygu'n rheolaidd y gwaharddiad presennol ar rannu'r cwpan cyffredin, a osodwyd am resymau iechyd brys difrifol yn unig, ac ar y dechrau, ar gyfarwyddyd Llywodraeth Cymru. Yn ddiweddar, rhoesom ganiatâd i Gymuno yn y ddau fath drwy ddiferu, wedi ei weinyddu gan yr offeiriad neu weinidog y Cymun yn unig, ond yr ydym yn ymwybodol nad dyma'r gorau o atebion mewn gwirionedd.
Fodd bynnag, nid ydym yn teimlo bod y sefyllfa iechyd bresennol yn caniatáu adfer y cwpan cyffredin, ac yr ydym yn parhau i gyfarwyddo na chaniateir defnyddio cwpanau cymun unigol. Mae hyn am resymau dros waredu ar ôl Cymuno gymaint ag unrhyw reswm arall, ond fe'n perswadiwyd y byddai cyflwyno cwpanau unigol yn gofyn am newid i gyfraith canon ar hyn o bryd.
Felly, gofynnwn i chi gadw gyda ni yn y ddisgyblaeth bresennol. Rydym yn ymrwymo i adolygu hyn unwaith eto yn y flwyddyn newydd.

Ar ddydd Sadwrn 11 Rhagfyr mae yna weithdai yng Nghadeirlan Deiniol Sant ym Mangor i blant cael dod ynghŷd i ganu carolau, gweud crefft a chwarae gemau.
- I blant rhwng 6 ac 8 oed mae'r sesiwn yn rhedeg o 10am i 12.30pm
- I blant rhwng 9 ac 12 oed mae'r sesiwn yn rhedeg o 2pm i 4.30pm

Ni fydd y Synod a drefnwyd ar 30 Dachwedd yn digwydd. Mae dyddiad newydd ar gyfer synod CGE arall wedi ei drefnu ac mae arweinwyr yr Ardaloedd Weinidogaeth yn ymwybodol o'r dyddiad yma.
Diwrnod o weddi USPG
Mae USPG yn cynnal diwrnod o weddi ar 30 Tachwedd. Mae llwyth o adnoddau ar gael ar wefan USPG gan gynnwys trefn y dydd os hoffech chi ymuno.

The First Sunday of Advent
In the shortening of days,
O God be our Light.
In the changing of the season, be our guide.
Watch over us as we step into Advent,
open our hearts and minds
to the unfolding of the Nativity story;
may we be awake and alert to your presence
through the ministries we offer,
in times of prayerfulness and quiet reflection,
and in hope of that that is yet to come.
In these Advent days as we wait
for the One who is to come, the Light of the World,
inspire us anew so we may be ready and prepared
to encounter with new eyes
and listen with refreshed ears
to the story of Jesus’s birth, Emmanuel.
May we use this time
to live out our faith:
to worship you with love in our hearts,
to love the world in word and action,
and to grow your Church in ongoing discipleship.
In the name of God, we offer this prayer.

Communion in both kinds
As Christmas approaches, the bishops are very mindful that Anglican practice and teaching is that “the cup of the Lord is not to be denied to lay people” (Article XXX). We therefore regularly review the current prohibition on sharing the common cup, which has been imposed for severely urgent health reasons only, and at first, at the direction of the Welsh Government. We recently gave permission for Communion in both kinds by intinction, where the administration was by the priest or minister of Communion alone, but we are aware that this is not really the best of solutions.
However, we do not feel that the current health situation allows the restoration of the common cup, and we continue to direct that the use of individual communion cups is not permitted. This is for reasons of reverent disposal after Communion as much as any other reason, but we are persuaded that the introduction of individual cups would require a change to canon law at present.
We therefore ask you to bear with us in the current discipline. We undertake to review this once again in the new year.
Be a Christmas Chorister
On Saturday 11 December Saint Deiniol's Cathedral in Bangor are hosting workshops for children to gather and sing Christmas Carols, make craft and play games.
- Children who are 6 to 8 years old are invited to attend a session between 10am and 12.30pm
- Children who are 9 to 12 years old are invited to attend a session between 2pm and 4.30pm

Meirionnydd Synod
The Synod due to be held on 30 November will not take place. Another BMF synod has been arranged and Ministry Area Leaders have been informed of the date.
USPG Communion day of prayer
USPG are hosting a day of prayer on 30 November. The USPG website is being continually updated and includes joining information should you wish to find out more and get involved.
At 9.30am a short video from the Church in Wales will be shared.
