Alun Jones-Davies
Mae Alun yn gyfrifol am gynnal a chadw tai’r Eglwys yng Nghymru yn yr esgobaeth, a defnyddir yn bennaf ar gyfer clerigion a’u dibynyddion.
Yn Aelod o Sefydliad Brenhinol y Syrfewyr Siartredig a Chymrawd y Sefydliad Siartredig Adeiladu, mae Alun wedi bod yn gysylltiedig â’r diwydiant adeiladu trwy gydol ei yrfa.
Fe’i magwyd yn Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant cyn symud i Bae Cemaes ar Ynys Môn. Dechreuodd weithio i’w dad yn y cwmni adeiladu teuluol fel saer, cyn symud drwy gynllun Bwrdd Hyfforddi’r Diwydiant Adeiladu i’r Dystysgrif Genedlaethol Uwch mewn Adeiladu ac yna graddio yng Ngholeg Rheolaeth Ystadau, Prifysgol Reading â gradd anrhydedd mewn Arolygu Adeiladau.
Mae Alun wedi gweithio fel syrfëwr adeiladu ar gyfer Bragdy Burtonwood ac ar gynlluniau adnewyddu trefol awdurdodau lleol, cyn ymuno â’r Eglwys yng Nghymru yn 2000.
Mae Alun yn feiciwr brwd ac mae’n aelod o Glwb Beicio Cefni. Mae hefyd yn mwynhau cerddoriaeth, bwyta allan a theithio.
Alun Jones-Davies
Alun is responsible for the care, maintenance and upkeep of the Church in Wales’s housing properties in the diocese, which are mainly used for clergy and their dependents.
Alun is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and has been associated with the building industry throughout his career.
He was brought up in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant before moving to Cemaes Bay on Anglesey. Initially working for his father in the family building company as a carpenter and joiner he progressed via the Construction Industry Training Board scheme to the Higher National Certificate in Construction and later graduated from the College of Estate Management in Reading University with an Honours Degree in Building Surveying.
Alun has worked as a building surveyor for Burtonwood Brewery and on local authority urban renewal schemes, before joining the Church in Wales in 2000.
Alun is a keen cyclist and is a member of the Cefni Cycling Club. He also enjoys music, eating out and travel.
