Gwaith "Ffyniant Bro" yng Nghaergybi
Ym mis Rhagfyr 2021, gwahoddwyd Esgobaeth Bangor ac Ardal Gweinidogaeth Bro Cybi gan Gyngor Tref Caergybi a Chyngor Sir Ynys Môn i gymryd rhan yn y cais CFFB "Caergybi: trawsnewid a yrrir gan ddiwylliant a threftadaeth". Fel canlyniad, cafodd cynlluniau a grëwyd yn flaenorol dan brosiect Llefa'r Cerrig ei chyflymu i gwrdd ag amserlen heriol y cais.
Yn dilyn penderfyniad Llywodraeth y DU ym mis Ionawr 2023 i ddyfarnu £22.5m i gynllun Caergybi (y bydd £1.7m ohono yn cefnogi gwaith yn yr eglwys), rydym wedi gweithio'n agos gyda'r Cynghorau i gyflawni amcanion a chanlyniadau diffiniedig oddi mewn amserlen yr un mor heriol y nawdd.
Rydym yn deall y bydd y gwaith hwn yn achosi aflonyddwch yng nghanol Caergybi ac rydym eisiau tawelu meddyliau pob cynulleidfawyr, trigolion ac ymwelwyr ein bod yn gwneud popeth o fewn ein gallu i gwblhau'r gwaith mor gyflym ac effeithlon â phosibl. Rydym yn deall hefyd y bydd pryderon am newidiadau i'r eglwys: bydd manylion yn cael eu cyhoeddi ar y tudalennau hyn fel ffynhonnell ganolog o wybodaeth. Holyhead "Levelling Up" Works
In December 2021 the Diocese of Bangor and the Ministry Area of Bro Cybi were invited by Holyhead Town Council and Isle of Anglesey County Council to participate in the LUF Bid "Holyhead: a culture and heritage driven transformation". Plans previously drawn up under the Llefa'r Cerrig Project were consequently accelerated to meet the challenging application schedule.
Following the decision of the UK Government in January 2023 to award £22.5m to the Holyhead scheme (of which approximately £1.7m will support works at the church) we have worked closely with the Councils to achieve the defined objectives and outcomes within the equally challenging implementation schedule of the funding.
We understand that these works will cause disruption in the centre of Holyhead and we want to reassure all congregants, residents and visitors that we are doing everything we can to complete the works as quickly and efficiently as possible. We also understand that there may be concerns about changes to the church: details of all the planned works will be published on these pages as a central source of information.
