Gardd Gweddi newydd Bro Ogwen
Ar 23 Gorffennaf cysegrwyd gardd gweddïo er gogoniant i Dduw ym Mro Ogwen. Bu nifer sylweddol yn bresennol i dystiolaethu at gefnogaeth Cyngor Eglwysig Bro Ogwen, ac i ddangos brwdfrydedd i lwyddiant y fenter.
Mi ddaeth weledigaeth o greu’r ardd trwy weddïo a thrafod ymhlith aelodau tîm gweinidogaethol Bro Ogwen. Roedd y prif ddiben i leoli calon ein hardal, nid o fewn adeilad, ond ar sylfaen gadarn, sef gweddïo. Trwy waith caled nifer o bobl mi ddoeth y weledigaeth yn realiti.

Yn ein hoes, tra bod cadw eglwysi’r cefn gwlad ar agor yn heriol, mae’r ardd weddïo yn cynnig cyfle yng nghanol yr ardal gweinidogaeth i bobl alw i mewn a chael seibiant rhag ystormydd bywyd, ac amser i gael nerth i wynebu her ein bywydau.
Mae yna groeso i unrhyw unigolyn neu grŵp alw i mewn am gyfnod i gael eu hysbrydoli. Mae yna gyfle i grwpiau cael cyfnod o fyfyrio a chael panad hefyd. Cysylltwch ag arweinydd ardal Bro Ogwen - sef y Parch John Goodman Matthews -os oes gynnoch chi ddiddordeb o ddefnyddio’r ardd.
Diolch i Esgob Andrew am roi sêl ei fendith ar yr ymdrech.
Y Parch John Matthews
Bro Ogwen’s new Prayer Garden
On July 23 a Grotto or Prayer Garden was consecrated to God’s glory in the ministry area of Bro Ogwen. There was a significant number present to witness to the support of Bro Ogwen’s Ministry Area Council to the success and completion of the project, whilst at the same time investing their time in its future success.
The vision for the venture came through prayer and was distilled amongst the ministry team of Bro Ogwen. The primary reason was to focus the activity and Hub of Bro Ogwen Ministry Area not in a building rather to focus and direct its future activity through prayer outside of our church buildings. Through the hard work of a number of people the vision has become a reality.

In the present climate, when it is not as easy to keep rural churches open for visitors and people seeking solace, the prayer garden offers an opportunity for them to call in without needing to book a slot and take time to reflect on facing the many challenges of our day.
There is a welcome for any individual or group to come and use the facility to come and pray and be inspired and to have a cuppa should you need it. Please feel free to contact the Ministry Area Leader of Bro Ogwen namely - the Revd John Goodman Matthews - if you are interested in making use of the gn.
Many thanks to Bishop Andrew for coming to consecrate and grant God’s blessing on the venture.
The Rev John Matthews
