Offeiriad

Oddi mewn i’r weinidogaeth a ymddiriedwyd gan Grist i’w Eglwys, gelwir offeiriaid i gydweithio â’r esgob i sancteiddio ac i addysgu ac i oruchwylio yng nghymuned y ffydd. Gelwir offeiriaid i gofio yn ddiolchgar eu bod yn rhannu’r weinidogaeth hon â’i weinidogaeth ef a fu farw ar y groes. Bydd yn gofyn am aberth a daw dioddefaint yn ei sgîl, ond o’i byw’n ffyddlon, fe ddaw hefyd â llawenydd a tangnefedd.

Priest

Within the ministry entrusted by Christ to his Church, priests are called to work with the bishop to sanctify, to teach and to exercise oversight within the community of faith. Priests are called to remember with thanksgiving that this ministry is a sharing in the ministry of him who died on the cross. It will require sacrifice and bring suffering, but lived faithfully, it will also bring joy and peace.
