Darllenydd

Oddi mewn i’r weinidogaeth a ymddiriedwyd gan Grist i’w Eglwys, gelwir Darllenwyr gan Dduw i fod yn enghreifftiau o gludwyr a dehonglwyr y Gair. Bydd hyn yn golygu arwain addoliad cyhoeddus, pregethu a dysgu’r Gair. Galwad yw i ddarllen a dehongli stori Duw a chenhadaeth Duw i’r byd drwy’r Beibl a thrwy hanes, a thrachefn i ddarllen a dehongli’r byd a’r gymuned y maent yn gweinidogaethu o’u mewn. Yn sgil dirnadaeth a hyfforddiant addas, gall Darllenwyr hefyd arddel gweinidogaeth fel Gweinidog Bugeiliol. Fodd bynnag, gallasai Darllenwyr gyda galwad a’r doniau i arfer trosolwg o’r gwaith bugeiliol mewn cymuned ystyried cynnig eu hunain i’w dirnad ar gyfer y rôl ehangach o Ddiacon. Bydd y rhai a elwir i weinidogaethu fel Darllenwyr yn gallu darparu tystiolaeth o ddoniau ar gyfer y gwaith hwn, megis awydd cryf i ymestyn allan â chariad Duw, a hyfdra a sensitifrwydd priodol wrth gyhoeddi’r Efengyl, dawn arbennig am addoli, pregethu ac addysgu, y gallu i ennyn parch pobl eraill, ac ymwybyddiaeth gadarn o draddodiadau ac arferion yr Eglwys.

Reader

Within the ministry entrusted by Christ to his Church, Readers are called by God to be examples of those who are bearers and interpreters of the Word. This will include leading public worship, preaching and teaching the Word. Their call is to read and interpret the story of God and God’s mission to the world through Bible and history, and also to read and interpret the world and the community within which they are being called into ministry. With suitable discernment and training, Readers may also exercise a ministry as a Pastoral Minister. However, Readers with a particular calling and gifting to take oversight for pastoral work in a community or area might consider offering themselves for discernment for the wider role of a Deacon. Those called to ministry as a Reader will be able to show evidence of a gifting for this work, such as a flair for worship, preaching and teaching, an ability to retain the respect of others, and a familiarity with the Church’s traditions and practices.
