Gweinidogaethau Trwyddedig
Mae Gweinidogaethau Trwyddedig yn rhoi cyfle i rannu mewn arweinyddiaeth ledled bywyd, cenhadaeth a thystiolaeth yr Eglwys. Mae Gweinidogaethau Ordeiniedig hanesyddol yr Eglwys – Diacon, Offeiriad ac Esgob – yn Weinidogaethau Trwyddedig. Mae pump o Weinidogaethau Trwyddedig eraill – gan gynnwys gweinidogaeth sefydledig y Darllenydd – yn rhoi cyfle i wasanaethu mewn meysydd neilltuol. Mae Gweinidogaethau Trwyddedig yn mynnu ymrwymiad sylweddol o ran amser ac egni, gan gynnwys cyfnod o ddirnadaeth a pharatoi.
Mae Gweinidogaethau Trwyddedig yn weinidogaethau achrededig, cyhoeddus a chynrychioliadol o fewn yr Eglwys yng Nghymru. Gofynnir i bawb sy’n dirnad galwedigaeth i weinidogaeth gyhoeddus a chynrychioliadol ddatgan yn eu bywydau mai disgybl i Grist ydynt. Wrth ddirnad galwedigaeth i weinidogaeth benodol, mae yna hefyd ofynion penodol sy’n ategu galwedigaeth Gristnogol holl bobl Dduw: er enghraifft, os ydych yn synhwyro galwad i fod yn Ddarllenydd, a oes gennych allu arbennig i gyfathrebu, a sut y gall eraill adnabod hynny yn eich byw a’ch bod? Caiff galwedigaeth i’r gweinidogaethau hyn eu dirnad trwy Fyrddau Dirnad lleol a chenedlaethol a’u cadarnhau gan yr Esgob. Caiff ffurfiant a hyfforddiant paratoadol ar gyfer y gweinidogaethau hyn ei oruchwylio gan Athrofa Padarn Sant, gan ddefnyddio llwybrau dysgu sy’n nodi profiad ac addysg flaenorol. Fel arfer, bydd y llwybrau dysgu yn cynnwys cyfleoedd i ymgymryd â dysgu a myfyrio diwinyddol mewn grŵp dysgu, i ymgymryd â phrentisiaeth mewn Ardal Weinidogaeth, i ddatblygu sgiliau gweinidogaethol yn yr ysgol haf a thros dri penwythnos preswyl, ac i berthyn i ‘glostir ffurfiant’ i gefnogi twf yng Nghrist.
Caiff y sawl sydd wedi eu galw a’u derbyn i’r gweinidogaethau hyn eu trwyddedu a’u apwyntio i wasanaethu mewn Ardal Weinidogaeth gan yr Esgob, a chaiff gweinidogaethau eu adolygu a’u adnewyddu o dan oruchwyliaeth yr Esgob.
Licensed Ministries
Licensed Ministries provide an opportunity to share in the leadership of an area of the Church’s life, mission and witness. The Church’s historic orders of Ordained Ministry – Deacon, Priest and Bishop – constitute three Licensed Ministries. Five other Licensed Ministries – including the established ministry of Reader – provide an opportunity to serve in a distinctive field. Licensed Ministries require a significant commitment of time and energy, including a period of discernment and preparation.
Licensed Ministries are accredited, public, representative ministries of the Church in Wales. All those called to public, representative ministry are asked to show that their lives are shaped by their discipleship. In discerning a call to a particular ministry, there are also specific requirements that complement the Christian discipleship asked of us all: for example, if you sense a call to be a Reader, do you have a talent for communication, and how can others see this at work in your life? A call to these ministries is discerned through local and national Discernment Boards and confirmed by the Bishop. Preparatory formation and training for these ministries is overseen by Saint Padarn’s Institute, using learning pathways that take into account the experience and learning of those for whom they are designed. These learning pathways will normally include opportunities to undertake theological learning and reflection in a learning group, to undertake apprenticeship learning in a Ministry Area, to develop ministry skills at a summer-school and three residential weekends, and to belong to a ‘formational cell’ to support growth and formation into Christ.
Those called and accepted to these ministries are licensed and appointed to serve in Ministry Areas by the Bishop, and ministries are reviewed and renewed under the Bishop’s oversight.
