Curad yn symud tua’r gogledd !
Mae Esgob Bangor – y Gwir Barchedig Andy John – yn falch o allu cyhoeddi penodiad y Parchedig Sara Roberts fel curad Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Madryn.
Fel curad, mae Sara ar hyn o bryd wedi gwasanaethu chwe mis, allan o gyfnod sy’n dair blynedd o hyd fel arfer, lle mae’n gweinidogaethu ochr yn ochr â chydweithwyr ordeiniedig eraill.
Bydd Sara, sydd hefyd yn ymgyrchwraig ddiflino dros ffoaduriaid a’r rhai hynny y mae cymdeithas yn ei chael hi’n gyfleus i’w hanghofio, yn symud o fod yn gwasanaethu yn Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Enlli ar ran ddeheuol Penrhyn Llŷn, i fod yn rhan o’r tîm yn Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Madryn, sy’n gwasanaethu’r cymunedau o amgylch Nefyn, Edern a Botwnnog ar ochr ogleddol Pen Llŷn.
Wrth edrych ymlaen at ei rôl newydd, dywedodd Sara, 'Ym Mro Enlli, cefais fwynhau’r profiad o weithio o fewn tîm newydd a thraddodiad eglwysig gwahanol. Fe fu’n fraint i ddod i nabod y cymunedau, cynulleidfaoedd a’r gwirfoddolwyr. Dwi wedi gwerthfawrogi’n fawr pob profiad, megis gweld bywyd yr Eglwys yn y gymuned yn tyfu trwy waith y banc bwyd.
Bellach, rydw i’n edrych ymlaen at fod yn rhan o gymunedau eraill, ac i ddysgu am hanes, gobeithion a dyfodol Bro Madryn.'
Meddai ficer presennol Sara, ac Arweinydd Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Enlli, yr Hybarch Andrew Jones, 'Yn ystod y flwyddyn a aeth heibio, mae dau beth ynglŷn â Sara sydd wedi gwneud argraff arna i. Yn gyntaf, y ffordd y bu iddi gyfuno ei hastudiaethau parhaus yn Athrofa Padarn Sant gyda’i gweinidogaeth ym Mro Enlli a’i bywyd personol. Yn ail, mae hi wedi arddangos sgiliau bugeiliol ardderchog ac mae pobl Bro Enlli’n adrodd yn gyson wrtha i am ei phwyslais hithau ar bwysigrwydd gweinidogaeth fugeiliol.
Rydw i’n ei chymeradwyo’n galonnog a gyda hyder i weinidogaethu ym Mro Madryn ac yn diolch iddi am bopeth a ddaeth hithau aton ni yma ym Mro Enlli.'
Dywedodd ficer newydd Sara, ac Arweinydd Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Madryn - y Parchedig Richard Wood, 'Mae’n gyffrous meddwl bod Sara’n dod i wasanaethu yma gyda ni fel Curad ym Mro Madryn. Mae sôn wedi bod ar led am ei hangerdd, ei brwdfrydedd a’i gallu tra bu ym Mro Enlli. Mae Bro Madryn bellach yn edrych ymlaen at ei chroesawu i bregethu yma mewn gwasanaeth ar y cyd yn ystod y Grawys, ac yna pan ddaw hi aton ni dros yr haf.'
Ychwanegodd Esgob Bangor, y Gwir Barchedig Andy John, ‘Mae hi wedi bod yn bleser bod yn llygad-dyst i ddatblygiad gweinidogaeth Sara, fel ymgyrchydd a bellach fel cydweithiwr ordeiniedig newydd. Cafodd y gallu gan Dduw i ysbrydoli a chefnogi eraill mewn gweithred, yn ogystal â gweithredu mewn cariad ac mewn gair sylfeini gweinidogaeth fugeiliol ordeiniedig. Edrychaf ymlaen at ei gweld yn datblygu ymhellach yn ei chyfnod gyda’r tîm ym Mro Madryn.
Gweddïwch dros Sara, ei theulu a phobl a thimau gweinidogaeth Bro Madryn a Bro Enlli.'
Caiff Sara ei thrwyddedu i’w gweinidogaeth ym Mro Madryn mewn gwasanaeth arbennig yn ystod yr haf.
Curate moves north!
The Bishop of Bangor - the Right Reverend Andy John - is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Sara Roberts as curate of the Bro Madryn Ministry Area.
As a curate, Sara is presently six months into a period, which is normally 3 years in length, where she ministers alongside other ordained colleagues.
Sara, who is also a tireless campaigner for refugees and those whom society finds it easy to forget, will move from serving in the Bro Enlli Ministry Area on the southern part of the Llŷn Peninsula to be part of the team in the Bro Madryn Ministry Area, serving the communities around Nefyn, Edern and Botwnnog on the northern side of the Llŷn Peninsula.
Looking forward to her new role, Sara said, 'In Bro Enlli I have enjoyed the experience of working within a new team, a new ministry area and a different church tradition. It has been a privilege to get to know communities, congregations and volunteers. I have greatly appreciated all that I have experienced, such as seeing the life of the Church in the community grow through the work of the foodbank.
Now, I am looking forward to becoming part of other communities, and to learning about the history, hopes and future of Bro Madryn.'
Sara's present vicar and Ministry Area Leader of Bro Enlli, the Venerable Andrew Jones, said 'During the past year two things have impressed me about Sara. First, the way in which she has balanced her continuing studies at the St Padarn's Institute with ministry in Bro Enlli and her home life. Second, she has shown extremely good pastoral skills and the people of Bro Enlli constantly tell me about her sense of the importance of pastoral ministry.
I commend her wholeheartedly and with confidence to minister in Bro Madryn and thank her for all that she brought to us here in Bro Enlli.'
Sara's new vicar and Ministry Area Leader of Bro Madryn - the Reverend Richard Wood said, 'We are excited that Sara is coming to serve with us as a Curate here in Bro Madryn. We have heard of her passion, enthusiasm and ability whilst she has been in Bro Enlli. Bro Madryn is looking forward to welcoming Sara to preach here at a joint service during Lent, and then when she moves to us over the summer.'
The Bishop of Bangor, the Right Rev'd Andy John added, 'It has been my pleasure to watch Sara's ministry develop at first hand, both as a campaigner and now as a newly ordained colleague. God has given her the ability to inspire and support others in action, as well as to carry out with love and meaning the nuts-and-bolts of pastoral ordained ministry. I look forward to seeing her develop further in her time with the team in Bro Madryn.
Please pray for Sara, her family and the people and ministry teams of Bro Madryn and Bro Enlli.'
Sara will be licensed to her ministry in Bro Madryn at a special service during the summer.
