Ficer newydd i Fro Deiniol
Mae Esgob Bangor – y Gwir Barchedig Andy John – yn falch o gyhoeddi penodiad y Parchedig Ganon Tracy Jones fel Ficer ar y Cyd yn Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Deiniol.
Bydd y Canon Tracy yn gadael ei rôl bresennol yn Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Padrig ym mhen pellaf gogledd-orllewin Môn a dod i weinidogaethu fel rhan o dîm Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Deiniol, sy’n gwasanaethu Penrhosgarnedd, Maesgeirchen a dinas Bangor.
Yn wreiddiol o Leamington Spa, derbyniodd Canon Tracy hyfforddiant fel nyrs. Priododd â Martin ym 1992 ac fe symudodd y ddau’n ôl i gartref ei deulu ger Amlwch.
Gweithiodd Tracy fel nyrs newyddenedigol yn Ysbyty Dewi Sant (Bangor) ac Ysbyty Gwynedd, cyn cael eu dau blentyn, Ffion ac Aaron. Tra bu hi adref yn goflau am ei phlant, bu Tracy’n gwirfoddoli i Cefnogaeth Gartref a Hosbis Gwynedd yn y Cartref a dod fwyfwy’n rhan o fywyd yr eglwys yn Amlwch. Roedd hi yn ystod yr adeg yma y dechreuodd Tracy fentro dirnad galwad Duw at y weinidogaeth ordeiniedig.
Fe’i hordeiniwyd yn ddiacon yn 2012 ac yn offeiriad yn 2013. Bu’n gwasanaethu fel curad yn Seintiau Braint a Chefni, yr hen Ardal Weinidogaeth fu’n ymestyn o Lanfairpwll i Aberffraw, cyn datblygu’n Arweinydd Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Padrig yn 2014.
Pan gaiff hi ychydig o amser sbâr prin, mae Tracy’n mwynhau gweithio crefftau o bob math fel ffordd o ymlacio a bod yn greadigol.
Wrth edrych ymlaen at ei rôl newydd ym Mro Deiniol, dywedodd y Canon Tracy,
‘Tra roeddwn i wrthi’n hyfforddi ar gyfer y weinidogaeth fe fues i ar leoliad ym Mangor, a’i fwynhau’n fawr. Roeddwn wrth fy modd pan ddaeth y cyfle hwn imi ddod a gweinidogaethu gyda’r Deon Kathy a gweddill y tîm gweinidogaethu. Dwi’n edrych ymlaen at estyn allan at bobl a dangos bod neges Efengyl Iesu o gariad a gofal dros bawb yr un mor berthnasol, heddiw ag yr oedd dros 2000 o flynyddoedd yn ôl. Dwi eisiau chwarae rhan fechan yn galluogi pobl ym Mro Deiniol i gyfuno’u doniau, a datblygu’n gymuned a all fyw’r neges honno yn yr Efengyl yn effeithiol.’
Meddai’r Tra Pharchedig Kathy Jones - Deon Bangor ac Arweinydd Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Deiniol,
‘Dwi wir yn edrych ymlaen at groesawu’r Canon Tracy i Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Deiniol. Bydd ei hamryw ddoniau’n anhepgor wrth inni geisio tyfu cymunedau’r eglwys ym Mro Deiniol. Edrychaf ymlaen at weinidogaethu yn ei chwmni.’
Yng ngeiriau Esgob Bangor - y Gwir Barchedig Andy John,
‘Mae Tracy yn offeiriad ymroddedig ac rydw i’n ddiolchgar tu hwynt iddi am ei gwaith diflino yn ystod ei gweinidogaeth ym Mro Padrig. Hyfryd ydy meddwl y bydd hi nawr yn dod â’i gweinidogaeth i Fro Deiniol. Fe ddaw â doniau bugeiliol cadarn i’r tîm ym Mro Deiniol ac fe fydd yn gefn gwerthfawr i’r Deon Kathy a gweddill y tîm yno.
Gweddïwch dros y Canon Tracy, ei theulu a phobl Bro Deiniol a Bro Padrig.’
Cynhelir gwasanaeth arbennig i ddathlu gweinidogaeth newydd y Canon Tracy ym Mro Deiniol am 7yh ar nos Lun, Hydref 7 yn Eglwys Sant Pedr, Penrhosgarnedd. Mae croeso i bawb ddod.
New vicar for Bro Deiniol
The Bishop of Bangor - the Right Reverend Andy John - is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Canon Tracy Jones as the new Associate Vicar in the Bro Deiniol Ministry Area.
Canon Tracy will be leaving her present role in the Bro Padrig Ministry Area in the north-west corner of Anglesey and coming to minister as part of the team in the Bro Deiniol Ministry Area, which serves Penrhosgarnedd, Maesgeirchen and the city of Bangor.
Originally from Leamington Spa, Canon Tracy trained as a nurse. In 1992 she married Martin and they moved back to his family home near Amlwch.
Tracy worked as a neo-natal nurse in St. David’s Hospital (Bangor) and Ysbyty Gwynedd, before having their two children, Ffion and Aaron. Whilst at home caring for her children, Tracy volunteered for Home Start and Gwynedd Hospice at Home and became more involved in church life in Amlwch. It was during this time that Tracy began to explore God’s call to ordained ministry.
She was ordained deacon in 2012 and a priest in 2013. She served as a curate in Seintiau Braint a Chefni, the Ministry Area that formerly went from Llanfairpwll to Aberffraw, before becoming the Ministry Area Leader of Bro Padrig in 2014.
In rare moments of spare time, Tracy enjoys crafting of all types, as a way to relax and be creative.
Looking forward to her new role in Bro Deiniol, Canon Tracy said,
‘When I was training for ministry I did a placement in Bangor, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was thrilled when this opportunity arose for me to come and minister alongside Dean Kathy and the rest of the ministry team. I’m looking forward to reaching out to people and showing that Jesus’ Gospel message of love and care for all is as relevant today as it was over 2000 years ago. I want to play my small part in enabling people in Bro Deiniol to combine their talents, and become a community that can effectively live out that Gospel message.’
The Very Reverend Kathy Jones - Dean of Bangor and Ministry Area Leader in Bro Deiniol - said,
‘I am really looking forward to welcoming Canon Tracy to the Bro Deiniol Ministry Area. Her many gifts will be invaluable as we seek to grow church communities in Bro Deiniol. I am looking forward to ministering alongside her to her.’
The Bishop of Bangor - the Right Reverend Andy John - said,
‘Tracy is a dedicated priest who worked tirelessly in her ministry in Bro Padrig, for which I am most grateful. I am delighted that she will now be bringing her ministry to Bro Deiniol. She will bring strong pastoral gifts to the team in Bro Deiniol and will be a valuable support to Dean Kathy and the rest of the team there.
Please do pray for Canon Tracy, her family and the people Bro Deiniol and Bro Padrig’
A special service to celebrate Canon Tracy’s new ministry in Bro Deiniol will be held at 7pm on Monday 8 October at St. Peter’s Church, Penrhosgarnedd. All are welcome to attend.
