Llyfr Babanod

Gwahoddir teuluoedd ifanc o Benrhyndeudraeth a'r cyffiniau i ddod at ei gilydd i weithio ochr yn ochr â storïwr proffesiynol, Gilly Brownson, i greu llyfr stori.

Mae Covid-19 wedi effeithio ar bob agwedd o'n bywydau. Mae teuluoedd wedi colli anwyliaid, mae Covid Hir yn lleihau ansawdd bywyd pobl ac mae ein gallu i gasglu gyda'n gilydd yn cael ei beryglu.

Mae ymchwil ar effeithiau'r pandemig ar blant cyn oed ysgol yn amlygu pryderon am ddatblygiad iaith a meithrin hyder sy'n flociau sylfaen hanfodol ar gyfer dysgwyr gwydn ac annibynnol. Mae mynediad at wasanaethau a grwpiau cymorth bob amser wedi bod yn heriol i deuluoedd ifanc, ac yn enwedig teuluoedd incwm isel, o fewn ardaloedd mwy gwledig Gogledd Cymru.I lawer o famau newydd a'u babanod, mae'r strwythurau cymorth hanfodol fel grwpiau bwydo ar y fron a grwpiau plant bach wedi rhoi'r gorau i adael rhieni newydd wedi'u hynysu a phlant sy'n ei chael hi'n anodd cymdeithasu â phlant ac oedolion eraill.

Mae Mrs Angela Swann, sy'n arwain y weinidogaeth i blant ym Mro Moelwyn, wedi cydnabod hyn ac, drwy gyllid grant gan Lywodraeth Cymru, mae wedi sefydlu prosiect newydd o'r enw Book Babies.

Gan ddechrau ar 7 Medi bydd y grŵp, drwy eu profiadau a rennir, yn creu llyfr stori i feithrin datblygiad geiriau gan ddefnyddio geiriau, gan baentio crefft.

I gael mwy o wybodaeth, cysylltwch â Mrs Angela Swann.

Book Babies

Young families from in and around Penrhyndeudraeth are invited to come together to work alongside professional storyteller Gilly Brownson to create a storybook.

It goes without saying that Covid-19 has impacted every aspect of our lives. Families have lost loved ones, Long-Covid is reducing people's quality of life and our ability to gather together is compromised.

Research on the effects of the pandemic on pre-school aged children highlights concerns for language development and confidence building which are essential foundation blocks for resilient and independant learners. Access to services and support groups has always been challenging for young families, and particularly low-income families, within the more rural areas of North Wales. For many new mums and their babies the vital support structures such as breastfeeding groups and toddler groups have completely stopped leaving new parents isolated and children who are struggling to socialise with both other children and adults.

Mrs Angela Swann, who leads the children's ministry in Bro Moelwyn, has recognised this and has, through grant funding from the Welsh Governement, established a new project called Book Babies.

Starting on 7 September the group will, through their shared experiences, create a storybook to nurture word development using words, painting a craft.
