Prosiect Llenyddol Llwybr Cadfan
Edrychwn ymlaen at ail gymal y Prosiect Llenyddol Llwybr Cadfan fydd yn mynd rhagddo mis yma.
Digwyddiad digidol, rhithwir fydd hwn fydd yn cael ei lawnsio ar wefan Esgobaeth Bangor am 2pm brynhawn Sadwrn 7 Mai . Rydym am ganolbwyntio ar ein hail leoliad ar y daith sef Eglwys Celynin Sant, Llangelynin.
Holl bwrpas y prosiect hwn yw ddod i adnabod eglwysi a chymunedau ar hyd Lwybr Cadfan rhwng Dywyn ym Meirionnydd ag Ynys Enlli; lle y credir mai Cadfan, y cenhadwr Celtaidd o’r chweched ganrif, oedd yr abad cyntaf. Bydd y ddau fardd preswyl, Siôn Aled a Sian Northey ynghyd â Annes Glyn y bardd gwadd, yn darllen eu cerddi gwreiddiol fydd yn cynnig golwg newydd i ni ar y lleoliad arbennig hwn ynghyd â dathlu’r dreftadaeth leol. Cyflwynir cefndir hanesyddol Celynin Sant gan yr Hybarch Andrew Jones, Archddiacon Meirionydd a bydd gair o weddi gan Carwyn Siddall ynghyd â chyfrannwyr eraill.
Llwybr Cadfan Literary Trail
We are looking forward to the second phase of the Llwybr Cadfan Literary Project which will go ahead this month.
This will be a virtual, digital event that will be launched on our diocesan website at 2pm on Saturday 7 May. We will be focusing our attention on our second location along the journey; St Celynin's Church, Llangelynin.
This project aims to get to know churches and communities on Llwybr Cadfan between Tywyn in Meirionnydd and Bardsey Island where Cadfan, the sixth-century Celtic missionary, is believed to have been the first abbot. The two resident poets, Siôn Aled and Sian Northey along with Annes Glyn the guest poet, will read their original work offering us a new look at this special location as well as celebrating the local heritage. The historic background of Saint Celynin will be presented by the Venerable Andrew Jones, Archdeacon of Meirionydd, and there will also be a word of prayer from Carwyn Siddall along with other contributors.
