Cais dros Caergybi

Llefodd y cerrig, a chlywodd Môn

Rydym yn falch iawn, ac mae’n anrhydedd, i allu cyhoeddi bod y gwaith arfaethedig yn Eglwys Cybi Sant ac Eglwys y Bedd yng Nghaergybi fel rhan o brosiect "Llefa'r Cerrig | Stones Shout Out" wedi cael ei ddewis i fod rhan ganol o gais Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn i gronfa "Levelling-up" Llywodraeth y DU. Mae'r cais, sy'n cael ei gefnogi gan yr AS lleol Virginia Crosbie, yn cynnwys cynlluniau i drawsnewid canol tref Caergybi ac i roi hwb sydd mawr ei angen i'r economi lleol.

Mae'r cais yn benllanw o fisoedd o gydweithrediad rhwng yr Esgobaeth, Bro Cybi a Chyngor Sir Ynys Môn ac yn dwyn y teitl 'Caergybi: trawsnewid o safbwynt diwylliant a threftadaeth'. Ar ôl wedi cael ei anfon i Lywodraeth y DU dydd Mawrth 2 Awst, fe gaiff ei farnu gan yr Adran am "Levelling Up", y disgwylir iddi fod wedi penderfynu a fyddant ddyfarnu cyllid erbyn diwedd mis Hydref 2022.

Diolch i bawb a fu'n rhan o baratoi'r cais hwn a llongyfarchiadau i'r Ardal Weinidogaeth a Thîm y Prosiect yn arbennig ar gael y cynlluniau i'r lefel angenrheidiol i'w cynnwys yn y cais.

Grants for Holyhead

The stones shouted and Anglesey heard

We are very proud and honoured to be able to announce that the planned works at Saint Cybi’s Church and Eglwys y Bedd in Holyhead as part of the ‘Llefa’r Cerrig | Stones Shout Out’ project have been selected to form a central part of Isle of Anglesey County Council’s bid to the UK Government ‘Levelling-up’ fund. The bid, which is supported by local MP Virginia Crosbie, includes plans to transform the urban environment of Holyhead Town Centre and give a much-needed boost to the local economy.

The bid is the culmination of months of collaboration between the Diocese, Bro Cybi and Isle of Anglesey County Council and is titled ‘Holyhead: a culture and heritage driven transformation’. After being submitted to the UK government on Tuesday 2 August, it will now be assessed by the Department for Levelling-up, who are expected to give their decision on whether they will be awarding grant money by the end of October 2022.

Thank you to everyone involved in getting this bid prepared and congratulations to the Ministry Area and Project teams in particular for getting the plans to the level required to be included in the bid.
