Offeiriad ac Arweinydd Ardal Weinidogaeth Newydd Bro Cymer

Mae Esgob Bangor ac Archesgob Cymru, y Parchedicaf Andrew John, yn falch o gyhoeddi penodiad y Parchedig Dr Carol Roberts fel Arweinydd Ardal Gweinidogaeth ac Offeiriad-â-Gofal Bro Cymer. Yn ei rôl newydd bydd Carol yn gwasanaethu cymunedau Dolgellau, Llanelltyd a Llanfachreth.

Mae Carol yn dod o deulu clerigol sydd â chysylltiadau dwfn ag Esgobaeth Bangor ac mae hi wedi gweinidogaethu ym Mangor, Bro Eryri, a'r Bala. Ar hyn o bryd mae Carol yn gwasanaethu ym Mro Madryn yn ogystal ag arwain addoliad ym Mro Enlli ym Mhen Llŷn. Yn wreiddiol o Feirionnydd, symudodd teulu Carol i fyw ger Bangor pan oedd yn fabi a hithau bellach yn edrych ymlaen yn fawr at wasanaethu'r cymunedau yn yr ardal lle cafodd ei geni. Mae hi'n briod â Dafydd ac mae ganddyn nhw tri chi sy'n hoffi mynd am dro unrhyw amser.

Meddai Carol , "Rwy' n falch iawn o ddychwelyd i weinidogaeth llawn amser yn fy esgobaeth gartref ac rwy'n ddiolchgar i'r Archesgob Andrew am roi'r cyfle i mi wasanaethu ym Mro Cymer, ardal sy'n agos at fy nghalon."

Dywed Archesgob Cymru, "Mae Carol yn offeiriad aruthrol. Rwy'n falch iawn ei bod hi'n dychwelyd i Esgobaeth Bangor i wasanaethu cymunedau Bro Cymer. Bydd yn dod â chyfoeth o brofiad a doniau bugeiliol cryf i'r Ardal Gweinidogaeth. Gweddïwch dros Carol, ei theulu a phobl Bro Cymer."

Wrth groesawu Carol i Ardal Gweinidogaeth Bro Cymer, dywed Archddiacon Meirionnydd, Robert Townsend, "Rwyf wedi gweithio ochr yn ochr â Carol o'r blaen ac rwy'n gwybod bod ganddi lawer o ddonaiu i'w cynnig i Fro Cymer. Bydd hi'n bresenoldeb cadarnhaol yn y cymunedau yno. Gwn y bydd pobl Bro Cymer yn barod i groesawu Carol i'w plith fel Arweinydd newydd yr Ardal Gweinidogaeth."

Mae disgwyl i Carol ddechrau ei gweinidogaeth newydd yn y gwanwyn.

New Priest and Ministry Area Leader for Bro Cymer

The Bishop of Bangor and Archbishop of Wales has announced the appointment of the Revd Dr Carol Roberts as Ministry Area Leader and Priest-in-Charge of Bro Cymer. In her new role, Carol will serve the communities of Dolgellau, Llanelltyd and Llanfachreth.

Carol is from a clergy family with deep links to the Diocese of Bangor having previously served in Bangor, Bro Eryri, and Bala. Carol currently serves in Bro Madryn as well as leading worship in Bro Enlli on the Llyn Peninsula. Originally from Meirionnydd, Carol’s family moved to live near Bangor when she was a baby and she in now greatly looking forward to serving the communities in the area where we was born. She is married to Dafydd and they have three dogs who like lots of walks.

Carol says, “I am delighted to be returning to full time ministry in my home diocese and I am grateful to Archbishop Andrew for giving me the opportunity to serve in Bro Cymer, an area that is close to my heart.”

The Archbishop of Wales says, “Carol is a tremendous priest and I am delighted that she is returning to the Diocese of Bangor to serve the communities of Bro Cymer. She will bring a wealth of experience and strong pastoral gifts to the Ministry Area. Please do pray for Carol, her family and the people of Bro Cymer.”

Welcoming Carol to Bro Cymer Ministry Area, Archdeacon of Meirionnydd Robert Townsend says, “I have worked alongside Carol before and know that she has many gifts to offer Bro Cymer. She will be a positive presence in the communities there.

“I know that the people of Bro Cymer will be ready to welcome Carol into their midst as the new Ministry Area Leader.”

Carol is expected to begin her new ministry in the spring.
