Mae Esgobion galw am dawelwch yn sgil y protestiadau
Mae Esgobion yr Eglwys yng Nghymru wedi galw am dawelwch yn sgil y protestiadau sydd wedi digwydd mewn gwahanol leoliadau yn ystod y dyddiau diwethaf. Mewn datganiad, dywedodd yr Esgobion:
"Yr ydym yn gweddïo dros bawb sydd wedi dioddef o ganlyniad i’r weithred erchyll hon. Nid yw o unrhyw gymorth posibl i'r dioddefwyr na'u teuluoedd bod eu colled enbyd yn cael ei defnyddio i sbarduno trais, rhwyg, a braw.
"Allan o barch at y rhai sydd wedi colli eu hanwyliaid, ac allan o barch at y gwerthoedd yr ydym yn eu harddel fel cymdeithas, rydym yn galw am bwyll, am oddefgarwch ac am ddealltwriaeth.
"Yr ydym oll wedi gweld canlyniadau ofnadwy trais tuag at y rhai mwyaf agored i niwed, ac wrth inni geisio dod i delerau â’r digwyddiadau brawychus hyn, gweddïwn y bydd rheswm a pharch yn ennill y dydd, ac na fydd neb arall yn cael ei roi mewn perygl nac mewn ofn."
Bishops call for calm following protests
The Bishops of the Church in Wales have called for calm in the wake of the protests which have taken place in various locations in recent days. In a statement, the Bishops said:
“Our prayers are with all those who have suffered as a result of this appalling act. It is of no possible help to the victims or their families that their agonising loss is being used to spark violence, intimidation and division.
"Out of respect for those who have lost their loved ones, and out of respect for the values by which we live as a society, we call for calm, for tolerance and for understanding.
"We have all seen the dreadful results of violence towards the most vulnerable, and we pray that, as we seek to come to terms with these shocking events, reason and respect will prevail and that no-one else will be put in danger or in fear.”
