Mae Cadeirlan Bangor yn cychwyn ar bennod newydd, gan gryfhau ei strwythurau llywodraethu i gefnogi ei chenhadaeth, ei gweinidogaeth a’i hetifeddiaeth ar gyfer cenedlaethau i ddod.
Rydym yn chwilio am Swyddog Llywodraethu a Gweinyddol trefnus iawn, ymrwymedig ac egnïol i ymuno â’n tîm a chwarae rôl allweddol wrth sicrhau rhagoriaeth, atebolrwydd ac arfer gorau ym mhob agwedd ar lywodraethu’r gadeirlan.
Mae hwn yn gyfle unigryw i gyfrannu at fywyd un o’r mannau sanctaidd hanesyddol pwysicaf yng Nghymru, gan weithio’n agos gyda’r Deon, y Rheolwr Gweithrediadau, a’r Deon a’r Cabidwl.
Y rôl
Fel ein Swyddog Llywodraethu a Gweinyddol, byddwch wrth galon gweithrediadau’r gadeirlan, gan sicrhau bod prosesau llywodraethu yn rhedeg yn esmwyth, yn effeithlon, ac yn unol â chyfraith elusennau, UK GDPR, fframwaith rheoleiddiol yr Eglwys yng Nghymru, ac arfer gorau.
Byddwch yn:
- Cefnogi’r Deon a’r Cabidwl a phwyllgorau’r gadeirlan drwy baratoi agendâu, papurau a chofnodion cywir.
- Cynnal polisïau, rheolau sefydlog, cofrestri risg, a’r holl ddogfennau llywodraethu allweddol.
- Monitro a chefnogi camau gweithredu sy’n deillio o gyfarfodydd.
- Goruchwylio rheoli cofnodion ac archifo.
- Darparu cymorth gweinyddol i dîm arweinyddiaeth y gadeirlan.
- Arwain ar gyfrifoldebau MASO (Swyddog Diogelu’r Ardal Weinidogaeth), gan sicrhau bod hyfforddiant diogelu a gwiriadau DBS yn gyfredol.
- Cyfrannu at agweddau llywodraethu ar brosiectau’r gadeirlan, gan gynnwys mentrau treftadaeth a’r adeiladwaith.
Mae’r rôl hon yn gofyn am lefel uchel o onestrwydd, disgresiwn a sylw i fanylion — ac mae’n cynnig cyfle i wneud cyfraniad ystyrlon mewn amgylchedd sy’n seiliedig ar ffydd.

Bangor Cathedral is entering an exciting new chapter, strengthening its governance structures to support its mission, ministry, and heritage for generations to come.
We are seeking a highly organised, committed, and proactive Governance & Administrative Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring excellence, accountability, and best practice across all aspects of cathedral governance.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the life of one of Wales’s most historic sacred places, working closely with the Dean, Operations Manager, and the Dean & Chapter.
About the Role
As our Governance & Administrative Officer, you will be at the heart of cathedral operations, ensuring that governance processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with charity law, UK GDPR, the Church in Wales’ regulatory framework, and best practice.
You will:
- Support the Dean & Chapter and cathedral committees by preparing agendas, papers, and accurate minutes.
- Maintain policies, standing orders, risk registers, and all key governance documents.
- Monitor and support actions arising from meetings.
- Oversee records management and archiving.
- Provide administrative support to the cathedral leadership team.
- Lead on MASO (Ministry Area Safeguarding Officer) responsibilities, ensuring safeguarding training and DBS checks are up‑to‑date.
- Contribute to governance aspects of cathedral projects, including heritage and fabric initiatives.
This role requires a high degree of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail — and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a faith‑based environment.
