Penodiad Newydd i Fro Seiriol
Curad i fynd yn Ficer ar y Cyd ym Mro Seiriol
Mae Esgob Bangor – y Gwir Barchedig Andy John – yn falch o allu cyhoeddi penodiad y Parchedig Lesley Rendle fel Ficer ar y Cyd yn Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Seiriol yn Synod Môn. Bydd Lesley’n rhan o Dîm Gweinidogaeth Bro Seiriol, a fydd dan arweiniad yr Arweinydd Ardal Weinidogaeth, Canon Robert Townsend, sydd ei hun newydd ei benodi. Mae Bro Seiriol yn gwasanaethu cymunedau ardal Biwmares, Llanddona, Llangoed a Phenmon ar benrhyn de-ddwyreiniol Ynys Môn.
Mae Lesley ar hyn o bryd yn gurad yn Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Tysilio, sy’n gwasanaethu cymunedau o amgylch Porthaethwy a Benllech.
Yn wreiddiol o Gilgwri, bu Lesley‘n weithwraig cymdeithasol gyda gofal plant cyn symud i Droitwich yn Swydd Gaerwrangon, lle bu’n Ymgynghorydd Plant yn Esgobaeth Caerwrangon am 10 mlynedd. Wedi hynny, symudodd yn ôl i Gilgwri fel caplan ysgol cyn symud i Ynys Môn. Fe’i hordeiniwyd yn Ddiacon yn 2017 ac yn Offeiriad yn 2018.
Wrth edrych ymlaen at ei rôl newydd, meddai Lesley, “Mae hi wedi bod yn bleser pur i fod wedi gallu gwasanaethu Duw ochr yn ochr â phobl Bro Tysilio, Canon Angela Williams a’m cydweithwyr yn y Tîm Gweinidogaeth dros y chwe mlynedd ddiwethaf.
Dwi’n hynod ddiolchgar i bobl Bro Tysilio am y croeso a’r gefnogaeth a gefais wrth imi gyd-deithio â nhw o’r diwrnod cyntaf un y trwyddedwyd y tîm gweinidogaeth newydd, a hynny fel Darllenydd, Ordinand ac yna fel Curad drostyn nhw. Dwi wedi mwynhau eu cwmni a’u cyfeillgarwch, eu brwdfrydedd dros yr Efengyl a’u parodrwydd i fod yn agored i drafod ffurfiau newydd o’r weinidogaeth. Bu’n fraint go iawn i weld cysyniad yr Ardal Weinidogaeth yn gwreiddio, yn datblygu ac yn ffynnu o fewn calonnau a meddyliau, diolch i Dduw am feithrin mor ffyddlon Duw. Dwi mor ddiolchgar imi allu bod yn rhan o’r broses honno.
Bellach mae fy ngolygon yn troi at bennod nesaf fy ngweinidogaeth yma ar Ynys Môn wrth imi baratoi i symud i Fro Seiriol i ymuno â’r bobl yno ar eu taith gyda Duw. Edrychaf ymlaen at fod yn rhan o’r tîm newydd sydd am ffurfio dan arweiniad Canon Robert Townsend, yn ogystal â darganfod lle mae Duw am ein harwain wrth inni archwilio gyda’n gilydd yr hyn mae’n ei olygu i fod yn bobl Dduw yn y rhan hon o’r ynys. Heb os fe fydd yna amseroedd heriol o’n blaenau ond wrth inni bwyso’n ddibynnol ar arweiniad a ffyddlondeb Duw, felly hefyd y medrwn edrych ymlaen at Ei fendithion wrth inni rannu yn Ei genhadaeth.”
Dyma sylwadau Canon Angela Williams, Ficer ac Arweinydd Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Tysilio: “Dwi’n diolch o waelod calon i Dduw am Lesley. Mae hi wedi bod yn fraint go iawn i weithio yn ei chwmni dros y bum mlynedd ddiwethaf. Mae Griff, holl aelodau’r Tîm Gweinidogaeth, finnau a holl bobl Bro Tysilio wedi gwerthfawrogi ac elwa o’i doniau a’i cholegoldeb yn ystod y cyfnod hwnnw. Dymunwn bob bendith ar y bennod newydd hon yn ei gweinidogaeth wrth iddi ymarfer y doniau a roddwyd iddi gan Dduw ym Mro Seiriol (lle mae hi bellach yn byw).
Lle bynnag y bydd Lesley, fe fydd hi’n gaffaeliad mawr wrth adeiladu Teyrnas Dduw ac wrth gysylltu’r eglwys â’r gymuned. Heb os, byddwn yn gweld ei cholli yn ein mysg fel Tîm, ond yn falch y bydd Bro Seiriol yn elwa’n sylweddol o gael presenoldeb Lesley ar eu Tîm. Dymunwn gyfoeth o fendithion i'r Canon Robert, Lesley a’i theulu, ynghyd â holl Dîm Bro Seiriol a phob llwyddiant i’r dyfodol.”
Dywedodd Esgob Bangor - y Gwir Barchedig Andy John, “Bu Lesley yn gaffaeliad mawr i’r Tîm Gweinidogaeth ym Mro Tysilio, gan ddod ag amrywiaeth o ddoniau a phrofiad at gamau cyntaf ei gweinidogaeth ordeiniedig. Wrth weithio ochr yn ochr â phobl Bro Seiriol, yn y Tîm Gweinidogaeth newydd yno, mae hi’n sicr o brofi cyfnodau o lawenydd a her, ond bydd ei hyfforddiant, ynghyd â’i churadiaeth ym Mro Tysilio, wedi ei pharatoi’n llawn digon am hynny.
Gweddïwch dros Lesley yn ei gweinidogaeth newydd ym Mro Seiriol.”
Bydd Sul olaf Lesley ym Mro Tysilio ar 20 Hydref. Bydd hi’n dechrau ar ei rôl ym Mro Seiriol ar ddydd Mercher, Tachwedd 6, pryd y cynhelir gwasanaeth arbennig i ddathlu dechrau ei gweinidogaeth newydd am 7yh yn Eglwys Sant Cawrdaf, Llangoed (LL58 8PS).
New Appointment to Bro Seiriol
Curate to become an Associate Vicar in Bro Seiriol
The Bishop of Bangor - the Right Reverend Andy John - is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Lesley Rendle as Associate Vicar in the Bro Seiriol Ministry Area in the Anglesey Synod. Lesley will be part of Bro Seiriol’s Ministry Team, which will be led by the newly appointed Ministry Area Leader, Canon Robert Townsend. Bro Seiriol serves the communities around Beaumaris, Llanddona, Llangoed and Penmon on the south eastern corner of Anglesey.
Lesley is currently a curate in the Bro Tysilio Ministry Area, serving the communities around Menai Bridge and Benllech.
Originally from the Wirral, Lesley was a social worker in child care before moving to Droitwich in Worcestershire where she become Children's Advisor in the Diocese of Worcester for 10 years. She subsequently moved back to Wirral as a school chaplain before moving to Anglesey. She was ordained Deacon in 2017 and Priest in 2018.
Looking forward to her new role, Lesley said, “It has been an absolute joy to have been able to serve God alongside the people of Bro Tysilio, Canon Angela Williams and my Ministry Team colleagues over the past six years.
I am immensely grateful to the people of Bro Tysilio for the welcome and support they have given to me as I have travelled alongside them from the very first day that the new ministry team was licensed - as a Reader, an Ordinand and then as their Curate. I have enjoyed their fellowship, their enthusiasm for the Gospel and their willingness to be open to discussing new forms of ministry. It has been a real privilege to see the concept of the Ministry Area take root, develop and flourish within hearts and minds, thanks to the faithful nurturing of God. I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of that process.
I now look towards the next chapter of ministry here on Ynys Môn as I prepare to move to Bro Seiriol to join the people there on their journey with God. I look forward very much to being a part of a new team as it is formed under the leadership of Canon Robert Townsend, as well as finding out where God will lead us as we explore together what it means to be the people of God in this corner of the island. I have no doubt that there will be challenging times ahead but as we rely together on God’s guidance and faithfulness, so we can look forward to His blessings as we share in His mission.”
Canon Angela Williams, Vicar and Ministry Area Leader of Bro Tysilio, commented, “I truly thank God for Lesley. It has been a real privilege to work alongside her for the past five years. Griff, the members of the Ministry Team, myself and all the people of Bro Tysilio have valued and benefitted from her gifting and collegiality during that time. We wish Lesley every blessing in this new chapter of her ministry as she exercises her God-given gifts in Bro Seiriol (where she now lives).
Wherever Lesley is, she will be a huge asset in building God’s Kingdom and in connecting the church with the community. Without any doubt, we are going to miss her presence in our Team, but we are pleased that Bro Seiriol will gain immensely from Lesley joining their Team. We wish Canon Robert, Lesley and her family, and the whole Team in Bro Seiriol God’s richest blessings and every success for the future.”
The Bishop of Bangor - the Right Reverend Andy John - said, “Lesley has been a great asset for the Ministry Team in Bro Tysilio, bringing a range of gifts and experience to the first stages of her ordained ministry. Working alongside the people of Bro Seiriol, in the new Ministry Team there, there are certain to be joys and challenges, but only ones for which she has been well prepared by her training and curacy in Bro Tysilio.
Please do pray for Lesley in her new ministry in Bro Seiriol."
Lesley’s last Sunday in Bro Tysilio will be on 20 October. She will begin her role in Bro Seiriol on Wednesday 6 November, when a special service will be held to celebrate the start of her new ministry at 7pm in St. Cawrdaf’s Church, Llangoed (LL58 8PS).
