Wrth i ni ddathlu ein pen-blwydd 1500, rydym yn chwilio am Ddeon gweledigaethol i arwain Cadeirlan Bangor ac Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Deiniol i mewn i gyfnod o adnewyddiad a thyfiant.
Fel sedd Esgob Bangor ac Archesgob Cymru cyfredol, mae'r Gadeirlan yn chwarae rôl hanfodol ym mywyd yr eglwys yng Nghymru, gan gynnal digwyddiadau allweddol ledled yr esgobaeth, y dalaith a'r gymuned.
Yn dilyn ymweliad esgobol, mae'r Gadeirlan yn cychwyn ar gyfnod newydd. Fel Deon, byddwch yn gweithio gyda'r Cabidwl i weithredu argymhellion yr adroddiad gan feithrin diwylliant o dryloywder a chyfrifoldeb.
Byddwch:
- Wedi ei gwreiddio yn eich ffydd, gyda gweledigaeth i sicrhau bod y Gadeirlan yn ganolfan rhagoriaeth mewn addoliad, cenhadaeth, a gweinidogaeth.
- Yn ymrwymedig i dyfu'r weinidogaeth, meithrin disgyblion, a chroesawu pobl ifanc a theuluoedd.
- Yn rhygl yn y Gymraeg, ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig ac yn awyddus i groesawu’n llawn a meithrin ein hunaniaeth dwyieithog.
- Yn arweinydd profiadol ac yn fedrus mewn datblygu modelau ariannol cynaliadwy, gan chwilio am bartneriaethau creadigol a newydd ar gyfer cynhyrchu incwm.
- Yn barod i ddatblygu cyfleoedd o fewn twristiaeth a gweinidogaeth i bererinion a'r ymchwilwyr ysbrydol sydd yn teithio trwy ein tir santaidd.
Bydd y Deon yn aelod allweddol o dîm arweinyddiaeth yr Archesgob ac yn cyfrannu wrth lunio ein cyfeiriad strategol. Bydd y tîm yn cael ei gryfhau gan bobl o wahanol gefndiroedd , ac rydym yn croesawu ceisiadau yn arbennig o gymunedau amrywiol.
Os ydych yn teimlo’r alwad gan Dduw i fod yn arweinydd yma, byddem wrth ein bodd yn clywed gennych. Mae hon yn rôl o bwysigrwydd gwirioneddol, sydd wedi'i llenwi â phosibiliadau i lunio dyfodol llewyrchus Cadeirlan Deiniol Sant ac Ardal Weinidogaeth Bro Deiniol ym Mangor.

Dean of St Deiniol’s Cathedral in Bangor and Ministry Area Leader of Bro Deiniol
As we celebrate our 1500 anniversary, we seek a visionary Dean to lead Bangor Cathedral and Bro Deiniol Ministry Area into a future of renewal and growth.
As the seat of the Bishop of Bangor and the current Archbishop of Wales, the Cathedral plays a vital role in Welsh church life, hosting key diocesan, provincial and civic events.
Following an episcopal visitation, the Cathedral is entering a new season. As Dean, you will work with Chapter to implement the visitation recommendations and embed a culture of transparency and accountability.
You will be:
- Deeply rooted in faith, with a vision to position the Cathedral as a centre of excellence in worship, mission, and ministry.
- Committed to growing ministries, nurturing disciples, and welcoming young people and families.
- Fluent in written and spoken Welsh and keen to embrace our bilingual identity.
- An experienced leader and skilled in developing sustainable financial models, seeking out creative partnerships and exploring untapped potential for income generation
- Willing to develop tourism opportunities and ministry to pilgrims and spiritual seekers who journey through our sacred landscape.
The Dean will be a key member of the Archbishop’s leadership team and will contribute to shaping our strategic direction. The team will be strengthened by greater diversity, and we particularly welcome applications from diverse communities.
